On Saturday 29 May, Chelsea beat Manchester City 1-0 in the Champions League final. The only goal at the end of the first half was scored by Kai Havertz. After the victory, Chelsea fans took to the streets of London to celebrate the victory of the main club trophy.
Chelsea have finished fourth in the Premier League this season, qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
This is the club’s second Champions League win in history. Previously, the Blues won in 2012, beating Bayern in the final (1: 1, 4: 3 – on penalties). One more time (in 2008) Chelsea played in the final, but lost to Manchester United (1: 1, 5: 6 – on penalties). That final was held in Moscow at the Luzhniki stadium.
